Follow the Yellow Brick Road
January was an extremely powerful month to kick off the new year. The new moon brought the earthquake and incredible death and devstation in Haiti. Despite the destruction, many subsequent miracles have come to pass. The extreme deprivation and suffering contributed to opening peoples' hearts as we all moved into our new spiritual homes. The prayers, compassion, volunteers, and monetary aid poured in. People were found buried alive, including one man who was found alive in the rubble after 11 days. The power of intention and prayer is extremely helpful and strong right now.
As the news of the tragedy unfolded, and the numbers of dead rose to tragic proportions, I realized the honor of the souls who chose to depart. They were giving their lives, to allow a new Haiti to rise from the carnage. Like the phoenix, the mythical bird who transforms, Haiti will rise from its ashes and become a sovereign country who refuses to allow the pillaging and rape of their natural resources any longer. The remaining peoples of Haiti will become so strong through this crisis that they will refuse to give their power and resources away any longer. A new land will arise from the old.
In the new world, co-dependence of any kind is no longer permitted. Each of us must find the inner connection to our Source and act from this place of power from within. No more dependence on another will be allowed. Right relationships of all kinds will become a pre-requisite to living in this reality. We must each speak our truth fearlessly, but with great gentleness and compassion. As we become inner directed, and connected to Source, we will understand at an increasing depth and complexity, our individual soul purpose. It is only when we become whole within, that we shall be united with our soul mates.
Right relationship encompasses many broad specturms of life including, but not limited to:
Right relationship with earth, nature, and our solar system.
Right relatiosnhip among each other with global interconnection and interdependence, but not dependence.
Right relationship with self and other, in our famlilies, communities, and world.
Right relationship with our Source.
Right relationship in commerce, with the bottom line focused on how can I best serve my clients or patrons.
Right relationship in government and politics.
Equal exchange for service rendered.
It does at times seem as though time has spun out of control. I think it is important to realize how quickly change is becoming the constant. It is through this exponential change that we can see how fast things actually are moving and changing. Through all of recorded history to 1900, information doubled once, then it doubled again from 1900-1950, and again from 1950-1975. By the year 2000, information was doubling every 18 months. We are now at the juncture where information is doubling every 6 months!!! The prediction is that in 4 years, information will double every 11 hours.
With the advent of computer technology (cell phones and satellites), researchers and inventors are collaborating and synergizing their energies. This results in an astonishing and rapid amount of growth of information, expertise, and development. We must expand our vision to encompass a wider vista and horizon of future potential. As we look back even over the last decade, we continue to see what was previously impossible become a new reality. This kind of exponential change will continue to seed, sprout and grow as Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius energetically support this profound shift for humanity. Comparing what is happening now to past shifts, such as the Great Flood of Noah's time, or the Great Ice Age, may give you an idea of how huge this shift actually is. It is comparable to, but grander than any of those former cataclysmic shifts. The difference being that this time the shift will be made with relatively little loss of life.
With the latest full moon, of Jan. 30th, we are experiencing the grounding and concretizing into our new homes and spiritual realities. Hearts are opening, consciousness is expanding, and change is advancing and appearing on the near and future horizon. As we all were integrating the new and permanant changes, I began to see people I never dreamed would do so, open their hearts. In addition, the full moon brought an awareness of the spiritual connection we all have, and increased the sense of unity among humankind.
As for my own shifts, they have been huge. Following the last new moon, I suddenly reclaimed the last of my relinquished power, and without warning, knew that I had "arrived". No doubt remained within, and I knew that my divinity had finally and completely integrated within my physical being. The processing and integration have been gentle, slow and amazing. I know that I and my Divine Self are one. From that magical light bulb moment of awareness, Jesus' words, "I and my Father are one", were revealed. I too, knew within every cell in my body the true meaning of these spoken words. These may not be the same words we would use today, but the idea is definitely applicable. The separation between myself and the divine, between me and my Source, have been eliminated. I now know my true power.
The higher we grow in consciousness, the more important our soul purpose becomes. The focus on this purpose becomes more and more pervasive in our life. Only those things which contribute in some way towards accomplishing or living my soul purpose are of interest to me. Within this integration period, I began to perceive everyone as an embodiment of the Divine. I was connecting to others at that level, and seeing the true beauty that we all are. As I read a book by my 85 year old friend, I saw and felt her very essence present with me. It was so beautiful, each page of her book brought tears to my eyes.
I am still under the direction of the Divine in all I say and do. I still understand and appreciate the personality perspective after having lived this long, however that perspective is only present to keep me connected with how others perceive and view their life and issues. In this way, I can still connect with all. This divinity within, is teaching me how to play, as it often takes me on journeys which push me beyond my previous comfort zone. I am being impelled to overcome any reactions of embarrassment, insecurity or reticence, instead learning to play and enjoy life and all experiences fully. If I let go, and see and experience through the eyes of the divine, it is a magic carpet ride through unknown territory. It is always fun and knows no limits in delight or bounty. Life is truly amazing, beyond this illusion we call reality, so we just need to dance freely and rejoice. Though the consequences of every action are "loaded", as long as our intention is pure, and our heart awake, we have the liberty to relish and frolic in each moment.
We will continue to ground our new awareness as the New Moon approaches, on Feb. 13-14, in the sign of Aquarius. At this time our new Aquarian dreams will further manifest and expand the potentials at an accelerated rate. Remember this new world will not come all at once, for that would be too overwhelming. This new moon will conjoin Chiron (the wounded healer) and Neptune (the planet of illumination, high ideals, compassion) which will combine to heal the splits we have made as humans, feeling separate from, instead of united with, all other living forms. It also will illuminate for each of us how we can beome more authentic and replace the illusions of fear that keep us in discord and separation. These planets will continue to travel together in close contact for four more years, and will encourage humanitarian, egalitarian, and compassionate forms of collaboration, community, and commerce. These planets reawaken the idealistic, spiritual values which will shape our new world. We are learning to honor our individuality and our interconnectedness. Justice and equality will win out.
The Virgo full moon closes the month on Feb. 28. This is a super moon as well, intensifying its effects on earth and humans. Virgo rules the thought process. Suddenly we awaken to higher thoughts and potentials than ever dreamed of before, and at the same time allow the neural pathways to shift and release the old. Pisces is the opposing sign to Virgo. The Sun is in Pisces, with the planet Jupiter conjoining. Pisces is ruled by Neptune (again the planet of illumination, inspiration, spirituality), so this full moon is also increasing the awareness of our interconnectedness and oneness beyond form. We need to release those remaining familial, cultural, and educational beliefs which restrict us from our essence and authenticity. With Venus (unconditional love and values) and Uranus (sudden change through revelation or lightening speed awareness) also in Pisces, we are expanding into unconditional love, sensitivity and honor for all life.
Virgo rules our work and service, so this moon is assisting each of us to begin to impress our unique signature and vibration in the world. The Sabian symbols for these signs are important divinators: For the moon at 10 degrees Virgo-"Two heads looking out and beyond the shadows; the growth of true understanding, born out of the transcendence of duality, even while immersed in the world of duality." And for the Sun at 10 degrees Pisces-"An aviator pusues his journey, flying through ground-obscuring clouds; man's ability to develop powers and skills which, by transcending natural limitations, allow him to operate in mental-spiritual realms."
As Paul Ferrini says, "Our happiness is directly proportionate to our ability to see and experience our innocence and that of others. To see our innocence is to know we are worthy of love. Our worthiness does not derive from anything we say or do, it comes with our beingness. It is therefore, unconditional, everpresent, and eternal. When we know in our hearts and minds the innocence and essential worth of all beings, we live in harmony and peace. We experience the ecstatic nature of love without conditions." This, dear ones, is the foundation of our new world.
